Kleine Sächsische Schweiz
The Park is located in Wehlen village, on the route between Pillnitz and Bastion. The park gives a whole view of the rocky area of the Sächsische Schweiz; a wonderful trip in miniature showing all of the sights reproduced in local natural sandstones.
Right next to the park is a restaurant with a capacity up to 100 people.
Every year we develop new areas. In 2008/9, the developments include:
- Doubling the park’s size to 8,000 square metres
- New models and original local objects to complement the park.
- A new building with cinema and extended Souvenir shop.
- New parking area outside the Park
The Railway
The first German miniature mountain railway. It operates on the edge of the miniature park (gauge 7 1/4 inches) with the exact the historical Schwarzbachtalbahn reproduced "K-Saxon IV Locomotive". In a total route length of 800 meters, the visitors are transported on trailers from the entrance area to a vantage point in the upper area of the park. The small locomotive climbs a height difference of eight meters.
